SitStayRead's students have made tremendous progress over the past school year--but the summer months ahead are long, and we need your help to make this vacation a time of learning and growing!

Research shows that resources are so scarce in many low-income neighborhoods that students' reading scores drop over the summer--setting them behind the following year.

To make sure our second, third and fourth graders keep reading and writing all summer long, we provide each of them with Summer Reading Fun Packs--backpacks filled with everything they need to make this vacation a time of growth and exploration!

This year, we will provide about 600 Fun Packs, which include:

--Two books
--A backpack
--A story journal
--Pencils, sharpeners, erasers and crayons
