Last year’s #GivingTuesday was our largest yet, reaching over $2,600 in donations!

This year, we hope to raise $3,500, which could supply Summer Reading Fun Packs to over 75 students!

Fall was filled with unique opportunities for the students we serve provided!

Thanks to long-time corporate partner KPMG, four second-grade classrooms from Cameron Elementary in Humboldt Park visited the Aon building and participated in SitStayRead - 55 floors high! Students read with KPMG volunteers and Certified Reading Assistance Dogs, wrote stories, made cards with the graphic design department, and walked away with a KPMG bag full of new books! Thank you to KPMG for a wonderful round of field trips this fall!

Also in October, a group of volunteers from Allstate Insurance Company joined us at Manierre Elementary in Old Town! With groups of Allstate employees, students read books with Certified Reading Assistance Dogs, wrote stories, decorated bookmarks, and received new books to take home. Thank you to Allstate for a wonderful afternoon at Manierre!

Back to School for us!

It’s been a busy fall. We’re in 30 first, second, and third grade classrooms! We have teams of human and canine volunteers in classrooms Monday through Friday. To keep up with all the fun, follow us on Instagram!

Interested in joining the volunteer team? Click here to learn more! We NEED help (especially Book Buddies - our volunteers without dogs).

Thanks to Erika Dufour for the beautiful picture shown (along with many others!) taken in our Tail Blazers program at Hughes Elementary this October!
