Did you know? Bark 'n Ball Poster Designs

Did you know?

Each year, there is a new Bark ‘n Ball poster to celebrate our event!

SitStayRead’s largest fundraising event of the year, Bark ‘n Ball, raises money for our dog-infused literacy programming. In 2018, over $150,000 was raised, making it the largest Bark ‘n Ball in SitStayRead history! To help each event have a its own look and feel, a unique poster is designed.

Here’s the story behind the poster’s design.

Who designs the posters?

Each year, an illustrator generously donates their time and talent to design a new Bark ‘n Ball poster. We give full creative freedom, allowing the artist to create something that represents SitStayRead. The designs are used in the poster and event materials, setting the look and feel for that year’s Bark ‘n Ball! How do we pick the illustrator? The first poster was designed by renowned illustrator Bob Staake, and the last four posters were designed by illustrators of a book we use in the classroom!

Here’s a look at the last five Bark ‘n Ball posters and the illustrators who came up with the masterpieces!
