350+ guests raised over $180,000 for SitStayRead at Bark ‘n Ball 2019!
CHICAGO - Dogs, donations, dinner, and dancing! On Friday, April 26, we held our fifth annual Bark ‘n Ball fundraiser to raise money for our impactful literacy programming. With a sold out crowd, we raised the most ever at a Bark ‘n Ball!
This year, thanks to our generous sponsors and supporters, we raised over $180,000. In addition to this milestone amount, all event expenses were covered thanks to our sponsors! This will directly impact the over 2,500 students we serve, ensuring they receive the help they need to increase their literacy skills with both human and dog volunteers!
Included in the night’s festivities was a raffle for a $500 Ticketmaster gift card, a deck of cards game of chance for the winner’s pick of any silent auction package, a mystery wine grab, a photo booth provided by Shutterbooth, and dog walking services for dog guests provided by Chicago Pet Sitters. The evening continued with dinner and the Live Program, which featured the premier of the “Dedicated to YOU!” video made by Horizon Line Films, the honoring of 5 and 10 year volunteers, and an inspiring speech given by SitStayRead partner teacher Ashley Geyer.
Thank you to all who helped made this year’s Bark ‘n Ball a success. This record-breaking event will benefit thousands over the coming year and make literacy accessible for more students in Chicago Public Schools! We dedicate this success to YOU!
Thank you to Susie at Crimson Cat Studios for beautifully capturing Bark ‘n Ball 2019!
