How to Edit Your Site

Helpful links to guide you in managing and creating content on your new website.

Quick Note: When editing or creating new pages, if your page or section is not looking as it should, go to the page block library and reference the styles and formatting that we’ve used on the comparable widget. If it doesn’t match, follow the instructions to insert a page block on page from the library. And re-enter your content.

Additional Notes About YOUR CMS

These are the CSS classes that sometimes get edited/deleted on accident. That’s okay. Mistakes happen and that is why we have this Q&A.

First, make sure you can view the CSS field in your menu builder. Go to Appearance > Menus. At the top of the page (just under your username) will be a drop-down “Screen Options.” Under “Show advanced menu properties” select “CSS Classes” (and “Description” if you want to edit that as well).

Donate button in the main navigation

  • If the button style accidentally gets deleted or is not appearing, here is where you edit that to get it back:
  • Appearance > Menus > Select the Main Nav (Header) > Expand Get a demo > ensure the class “menu-btn” appears in the CSS class field

Mobile Navigation

  • The main menu has a “page” that does not appear in the main navigation on desktop, but allows the entire menu to appear on mobile devices.
  • In the menu link in Appearance > Menus > main navigation > The extra page (Mobile) will have a menu class of “mobile-only”.

All other classes used on this website are automatically saved to your page block templates so you won’t need to worry about them.

Your site is set up with several variations for each block, including a “wave” element added to the bottom of certain blocks. We have labeled those blocks in your template library, but you can also remove the wave by following these steps:

  1. In Elementor, select the primary block container for the block you are editing in your structure navigator. (Ex: Accordion – White)
  2. In the right column, toggle to the “Style” tab for that block.
  3. Scroll down, click and expand the section called “Shape Divider”
  4. Toggle to view the “Bottom” options. Unselect the Wave element to remove it. Or select it if you want to add it.
  5. Save your changes.
