Certified Good Girl

Meet Honey

Honey lives up to her name in every way — sweet, patient, and absolutely full of love. She’s the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere she goes, and the students she visits are no exception.

Honey’s Adoption Story

Honey was adopted at six years old from a rescue in Michigan. She came into Laura’s life already full of warmth and ready to give all the love she had.

Honey’s Personality

Honey is patient, sweet, affectionate, and playful. She loves people and other dogs equally, and her easygoing nature makes her a natural in any classroom setting.

Honey’s perfect day is simple and sweet — walks, treats, pets, and plenty of time hanging out in the yard. Sometimes the best days are the uncomplicated ones.

How Laura Found SitStayRead

Laura discovered SitStayRead through an internet search, and it turned out to be a perfect match for her and Honey. The two have been volunteering together for about two years now. Laura loves talking and laughing with the students, while Honey is firmly in it for the pets. Their favorite memory together? Two second graders who wrote their final stories about Honey’s birthday — a testament to just how much of an impression she leaves on every child she meets.
